I was looking at a Crossfire ready Mobo. I have narrowed my choice down to these two, which one?

GIGABYTE GA-EX38-DQ6/ Intel X38

ASUS MOTHERBOARD MAXIMUS FORMULA INTEL X38

have been told that ASUS have BIOS problems, eg. random Crashes, unstable overclocking.

I have been told that Gigabyte use higher grade materials on their boards, ultimately making them last longer.

Which is going to be the better choice?

Right now I am leaning towards the Gigabyte...

I wouldn't go for DQ6 if you will use an aftermarket cooler. It has a backplate and a lot of great coolers are incompatible with it. They are both mobos though.

The Gigabyte had barely any Cons, whereas Asus reviewers gave more Cons.

Lot's of problems are found with the BIOS from the Striker Formula X38, if you want a reliable setup, I reccomend a P5E X38 of Formula Rampage X48

what he said ^^^ and you'll be happy. I haven't had any problem with the BIOS of the P5E. I just read a review about Gigabyte X48 board and I wasn't happy... lots of bootup problems and such (looping post FTL)

For what it is worth, I was helping gooners in these choices, I reccommended the two, but I would go for the Gigabyte.

N basically to reiterate, the DQ6 wont give you an issue.
The Maximus might.

So far as I can see that settles it.

Gigabyte all the way, solid state capacitors!
