You can now watch youtube movies with higher quality on youtube

With just a simple code in the url.

Look at the images under

Low Quality

Higher Quality

(This is not photoshoped!)

(Video for the images above: http://youtube.com/watch?v=j_GK-9O8glU&fmt=18 )

So you can simply add this to the youtube url:   &fmt=18
And you can watch videos with a bit higher quality

I uploaded a video that was 900 MB and it was worse quality than some 30 to 100 MB videos I have on there I even did the same resolution as those others... Codec problem? (I tried using DivX codec and it kept crashing Premiere, so I had to stick with the default Cinepak).

YouTube converts all videos to .flv. .flv can't carry much.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

They still look/sound good on a 5th gen ipod video.

There's a link under some videos that allow you to change the quality, you don't need to do that extension because the link does it for you. I guess it's a new feature or someshit
