Note: This is not a "Which assault rifle is best", it's a "Which is your favorite assault rifle".   That's a big difference.




Yesterday I was on a server, and while I was picking my assault rifle I just couldn't chose. They're all so good. So I stuck with habit and took the BAUR.   I just wanted to know what most people use. I see most of the kill messages with the Voss in them. But does anybody else use the stocks more then the unlocks?

Krylov you can drop several targets in seconds both from distance and close quarters i prefer the sight it has gives you a clean view and it´s great when tap fireing. imo Krylov also works great close up unzoomed.

Only slight disadvantage i can see is the smaller clip but tapping correctly can still give you up to 5-6 kills a mag.

I can get lots of kills with the Krylov too. But I prefer 3 shot kills with the BAUR.

Krylov. I always play Medic when PAC because of the Krylov. It´s the definition of KICKASS!

Never will understand why someone should use the Voss while playing PAC...

i dont play 2142, but for future reference m8 for you,  a gun is a gun. if it kills people and its accurate, than that is all that matters. someone in xbox live told me: in the real world you dont say to terrorist that an ak47 sucks, becuase it kills just as bad as the m4/ m16.

The voss is epically cheap, no arguing there.  Gibralter is impossible to play as EU because i refuse to use that n00bstick; and subsequently get owned even when i get enough baur hits to kill them.  Then of course i get switched to PAC; the ensuing rapeage makes everyone leave.

Baur H-AR, for the sole reason of maximum armor penetration.  When you can out-snipe snipers, kill with 3-4 shots even at distance, and have the fastest clip reload, all that limits me in kills is clip size.  Voss users can go screw themselves, it's not that great as everyone states--Krylov is my #2.

Baur fo' sho' I use it like the M4 and pick those Voss bitches off at a distance. Although I am surprised that we only got 2 votes for the SCAR so far it has a really good scope and can do good for anyone lacking and assault unlocks.

SCAR-11 AR, if you can use it they are dead.

It sounds great and is just so accurate over long distance.

Krylov would be my 2nd choice.

I've not played the game since before the 1.4 patch, so I don't know what they're all like now.

I do however know that the Krylov was basically an SVD with a larger clip, no recoil, and almost no deviation on full auto.

It made a pretty cool sound as well.

But only if you hop around the silo. If the enemy comes from the hilltop for example, you´re fucked.
