Got drunk and put a password on my computer. Can't remember it. I had one on Administrator as well, so no use starting in safe mode.

Help?

The computer is on btw. I'm not going to switch it off xD

Boot to a bootable OS cd (EBCD is the easiest I can think of), erase admin password, remove normal account password while logged in as admin.

Done.

are u still logged on?  if so, just right-click my computer, go to manage, and open the users and computers link on the left.  highlight users, then right-click your user acct on the right side, and choose reset password.  then make it blank.

oh yeah btw:

@steelie34: if you do that, it asks for your current password. (just checked o.0)

But if you make another account with admin status, you could logg in on that one and with it change the pass of your current account.
It doesnt ask for your old pass then^^

bah, i meant "users and groups," then open the users folder, and on the right side find your user account.  if you right-click on it and choose "set password" it will let you clear it.

@gamematt, are you sure?  it doesnt ask me for a password when i do it.  i just get a warning and then it lets me enter a new password.  as long as the account you are logged on with is an admin, you can reset any user's password on the computer without knowing the original.

Oh well either way, if your way works all is good.
If he needs to know the current one via your way, then he can try via another admin account

Yet another reason not to get drunk.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

No, you said, STDs > CPUs.

I know I personally would rather have a cpu over an std anyday. I'm not so sure about Carnoustie you guys probably enjoy crabs and gonorrhea.

I was saying STDs as I wanted something to go with CPUs ... and that was the first thing that came to mind.

Wrap up, kids!
