The usual reasons for a sudden disappearance are:

1. Vacation
2. Computer dies
3. Significant Internet problem
4. Finals or start of school year
5. Hospitalization, illness, death
6. Mom/dad grounding child by restricting computer
7. Basic training / joining the military

If it is one of these things then we never know until it clears within a month and the member posts what happened.
