He unplugged the monitor and plugged it back in, the message boxes came up as normal clearly showing it wasn't cracked, then the image came up again and he starts hitting the monitor....priceless.

Control Panel - Hardware and Sound > Power Options > System Settings > "When i press the power button" <Set> "Do Nothing"

then disable keyboard and mouse if youd like, I dont believe it does anything... you can get to task manager though... thats about it
