I've just ordered my new computer along with a copy of COD4.  I have a few questions.

1. Is there in game voice communication?
2. Whats the max players supported?
3. Where are your stats stored?
4. What are the differenced between the console version and PC version?

BTW I ordered a 8800GT 512 for $220!

1. There is voice comms, for your team only
2. I think up to 64 on modded servers, 16 total is normal, but you may see some 32.
3. Stats are stored locally
4. Not really sure, there pretty much the same.

Yep - and it isn't used as frequently as I thought...which is great!

No 'prestige' mode on PC. (once you get to 55 you can start all over again but players know you hit 55)

Is it normal for server pings to be that high?

BTW the console version is still pretty good.  I've reset my self 6 times.

Me and my clanmates found that compared to 2142, bf2 etc. pings in cod4 are double that of bf2 etc.

I went from 30 in 2142 to 60 in cod4

Yeah, ever since patch 1.4, everyone has pinged massive, peak times I ping at 350, which is unplayable.

I have no problem with ping. Half the servers on the list are below 100 for me, and that includes ones from all over the world.
