The other day I came across the pointy end of a hack I've never seen before. While piloting attack choppers without a gunner this guy calling himself DooM_Avalanche was somehow managing to TV everything and anything he came across, he even was able to use the cannon. I sat through 2 games of this before I got fed up and I only saw him miss a TV once.

I have tried to switch from the pilots seat to the gunners seat previously and it results in your spinning uncontrollably. How many places can I report him, where?

Maybe you missed the part where I said the chopper just starts spinning when you switch seats. Furthermore, he was hitting moving targets with ease. I fly choppers a lot, I'm thinking this isn't possible without hacks. If it is, by all means, someone explain it to me.

I've played with this guy before. I managed to hit him with a few tv missiles myself with a good pilot. Oh was he pissed

Eventually the admins of the server realized he was one-man whoring the attack chopper so they booted him.

well i can do it. i dont hit everytime but i do quite well

Alright. I'll try it again. Even though he hit EVERYTHING, moving or flying, and used the cannon as well as the TV. I really don't see how you can hit anything considering you lose all control once you switch, but I'll keep trying it.

I've played against this guy also, he's quite good in the heli. You know, just because someone is better than you doesn't mean he's using a hack. As hard as it is to believe, you're not the best in the game.

Look dick, I didn't say I was the best. I'm far from it. However, there -is- a world of difference between a good player and a cheater. I've played good people and I've been owned repeatedly before just like everyone else. This guy was too good. Now I said I would research the tactic more, so shut your effing mouth and stop putting words in mine.

I posted about this guy a little while ago, and I got the same replies. You know, the "oh, you just aren't good enough to hit him" etc...I can do the trick everyone is trying to use to explain it, but what that guy does is beyond that. The TV missle is possible to fly while the chopper spins out of control, BUT after a few seconds without a pilot, the chopper starts to flip. When I was watching this guy play, he managed to keep it flying perfectly while guiding missles over great lengths. That my friends, is impossible without some sort of bot helping you fly. In my time playing online games, I've seen far too many bot, macro and other programs used to help people cheat. It's really not too far fetched that this guy has a little help from something that isn't quite legit.

I can believe him able to u se the tv while the helo spins because as long as the tv missile is launched while facing the direction your target is guiding to the target is simple since the camera is on the missle not the helo. but using the cannon when the chopper spins around llike crazy i find it hard to believe is not cheating. and if he used the cannon without a gunner while in the pilot seat well if thats not cheating what is.

After a little practice ive discovered that it is possible to put the helicopter into a stable straight flight path with no pilot. However, it requires tilting it to the left side by about 45 degrees, so that the drag to the left counteracts the spinning of having no pilot. you have to be moving forward though, and if this player can single seat with the helicopter in a neutral attitude (not tilted to either side) then thats something else entirely.

Not that i condone doing this, because i quite frankly hate people who single seat attack helicopters.

Seriously, someone mentioned he can fire infinite TV missiles without rearming. Maybe he hacks at this point, but the solo TV missile thing is just skill.

firing tv missiles and hitting your target is skill yes. but being able to fly a helicopter, by yourself, and fire missiles makes absolutely no sense.

Personally i stay in the pilots seat and hydra-70 everything, if i happen to have a helicopter to myself.

well i agree that there are plenty of other things in battlefield 2 that arent realistic, but most of them are a compromise between fast action and reality. If, for example, the carrier was 300 miles out to sea instead of half a kilometer, and surrounded by its escort group, it might be a little less fun to be a pilot. If you had to do a walkaround of your airplane, check all the systems, run your engine up, check your oil pressure, get permission from ATC to take off, get vectors from whoever, etc etc etc. the point is, repairing in midair is just to keep the action going.

I dont think EA ever intended for people to fly around in the attack helo by themselves and use the tv missiles, and if they did shame on them.

Thats just my opinion.

I also wonder how the USS essex gets around so fast.

lol. it's an old trick fron BFV that yes EA did eventually nerf. It's also a load of crap that they nerfed it then. If things like that which seperate skilled players and experts. If the guy is using a hack, then F him, but if it's legit. why the hell not? If your that good ... whiney lil kids that can't do it things like that are the reason the game eventually gets nerfed to restrcitive console play. If you want a console game, go play a console game. Last I checked BF series comes in all flavors.
- I was thinking of this the other day when I saw my friends new saitek x52 joystick. It has modes, programmable this, that and the other. If you can set a keyboard, mouse, or joystick some way that isn't common knowledge, people call u a hack. It's gaming...... if you can't be creative with the game and get pissed off casue "u can't do it" why even play? Ask for tips from these "ungodly players". Their choice if they give ya a clue. Never know , but being a jackass about it only causes a bunch of BS on a forum somewhere, instead of something informative.
People cry hack way too easy after awhile.... while the real hackers are actually getting away with it. After they've (EA) nerfed the game to your liking all the real hacks will still be kicking your *** . And guess what, so will the skilled(non hacking) players, because they WILL adapt and overcome. While all the ones that got the game nerfed will still find something to nerf, cause " they can't do it".
