You can't do this?

5t3=t4+2t2

0=t4-5t3+2t2

0=t2(t2-5t+2)

Use the quadratic equation on the portion in parentheses.

t =\= 0 because you can't divide by 0.

distribute t squared in the denominator, multiply both sides by the denominator, move the right side to the left with subtraction so it equals zero, factor out t squared, find the roots of the quadratic by factoring or with the quadratic formula

Also make sure you know that zero is a hole, not an answer, because it would give you a divide by zero error in the original problem.

That's my initial reaction anyways.

I was writing that prior to seeing your post.

Look at the original post date. I started right after that.

That too.

Seriously, I hate math. It's not like it's going to help me in my career path. I wish it would go back to separate classes of Trig, Algebra...etc. Now it's this bullshit "Math A, Math B, Math C" stuff.

Trig, I'm actually very good at. I don't mind it.

Trig is also rape, the kind that Zombie Lincoln would NOT approve of.

Algebra is much better I don't mind Math tbh, just some things in it annoy me. English is far worse.

CL, I can only pray Canada's education system doesn't have math set up like the US's does.

Haha. Fuck that. :S

Albeit Shakespeare is a bit difficult to understand, it's much less stressful than math.

Thank God training for my pilot's license will let me skip 12th grade math. One thing NY State actually did good - add BOCES. Dunno if you DC'ers have something like it.

First of all it's Julius Caesar, and second of all you have a numerical post telling you what to do, and a verbal post telling you what to do. Don't get greedy.

We might but certainly not in god damn private school. I really don't give a damn if my school has good Calculus and advanced science courses; I'm not able to take them and I feel limited in the electives I can take.

edit: CL, use the quadratic for great justice

Albeit Shakespeare is a bit difficult to understand, it's much less stressful more pointless and terribly painful than math.
