Testing out a mechanical issue.....or testing a new instrument landing system at the airport.  FAA does that from time to time.  Just a guess.

I dunno. I was just convinced through the start that it was a Bombardier. I'm taking flying lessons now and one of the courses was on identifying different planes...and I instantly though Bombardier.

It's definitely either a Bombardier or a Gulfstream, though.

You need to look at the CRJ engines from behind.  Then look at Kmarions pic again.

Hmm. True, as I'm looking at some of the pictures of it, I can see the back of the engines were hidden and now that I see pictures of the back of them, they're definitely not them.

Marine's right. Look at the engines from the pic he posted and compare them with the jet you posted. Same shape.

Neighbor said it's high ranking peeps flying in and out. Probably Generals, maybe Congressional.

Windows are more noticeable.

To me, that plane looks REALLY small. Almost like a scale model. If there were clouds or something to compare it to...It really does look fake in some way doesn't it? But, if everything is to scale (meaning the windows are the right size for a human etc) then it's just your typical commercial airplane.

It is a Gulfstream V.  It has a longer space between the windows and the cockpit than the IV.  It is not a Bombardier, as Bombardiers have a lot more windows.

The AF uses Gulfstreams as VIP transports (although we usually use the IV).
