Hi all, we are recruiting for a mod for the new battlefield 3 game.
If you wish to join, please type in your xfire name. Please note
that because we don't really know how bf3 will turn out, we will only
have a select few people, so please give an example of your modding skills
and I will handpick you.

Who the hell premods? You dont even know what engine its going to be on. How can you expect to mod it if there isnt even any screenshots of it?

Is there anyone who is interested in making a mod for bf3 and not critics discouraging me to make a mod? I am sick and tired of morons like those who don't give people chances and instead criticize, I got discouraged in making a mod for bf2 and I regret it.

I am going to mod BF3 with BF Pirates... Your best bet is to learn as much as you can and join a mod that you like... It is possible to start your own... but you will learn a ton by joining a team... I have heard that BF3 is supposed to be released Nov08... but that can change...lol

Plenty of people pre-mod, but they usually wait until they've some idea of an engine's capabilities before vomiting material for it.

I registered for it a long time ago, that was the site that discouraged me to make a bf2 mod. And I would of applied with a mod team but don't know anyone that would accept me.

I'm not a mod in any sense of the word, so I don't think I can be much use to you unless you need some sort of researcher or something, but due to the power of the intrawebs, I think you won't need me.

The thing is it sounds a bit like one of those "I want to start a ____ mod, all I need is people to code it for me"

No one knows for sure the game will even come out...no one knows anything about the actual engine used to it, what will be hardcoded, ect, ect....

Its to early to think about even playing the game, yet alone modding it.

I started modding BF2 to add a couple of jets to Oman... 2 plus years later and I have worked on 3 mods...
I made 4 maps for the NAW mod... BF Pirates2 and made a level for BF2 Apocalypse... I learned how to make models...unwrap and texture and have them work ingame... because i really enjoy doing it... If someone told me 2 plus years ago that i shouldnt mod... I wouldnt have payed any attention to them... If you really want to learn you will and if you stick with it... I guarantee you will end up on a mod team... In fact... make a map or 2 and learn the editor... and ill see what i can do about getting you on a mod team... CB
