Alright, I've finished up my first Crysis video. It's intended to show the beauty of the game and some action (mainly beauty though ).
Have fun and enjoy it, it may be a bit dark but the resolution of Stage6 pretty much fcked it up (resized it from 720x480 to 640x480 apparently).

Nice editing also- what did you use? Sony Vegas? It's quite well done, not overboard, but not so basic as it seems amateur.

The video itself does seem dark yes, but that doesn't detract too much from it. Some nice clips, which do showcase the beauty of Crysis quite well.

Actually may compel me to go and play through the single-player again .

3rd person is fun to mess with (-devmode).

There is a usable-bug in the FOV (Field of View) control in Crysis, when in game. Decide where you want the camera in vertical position either prone (Z) or standing UP (alters the camera-perspective of course). Note: 60-65 is a normal FOV value, 75, 85, 95 FOV values look cool in a distorted stretched way.

(1) Then enter the console (`) and modify the CVAR cl_fov to:
cl_fov 25 Very Very close up
or
cl_fov 35 Very close up
or
cl_fov 45 Torso close up
etc.

(2) Then enter:
cl_fov 200 and the camera will detach & lock in place and you can move around independently of the camera (which is temporarily locked). Mess around, blow some stuff up, look at his suit FROM THE FRONT!

(3) You can also alter the time (slow motion, etc)...
time_scale 1 is normal time.
time_scale 0.5 (half time)...
time_scale 0.05 (one tenth of half time)...
etc...

(4) DON'T ZOOM (right mouse click) while doing this as it will re-attach the camera and UBER distort the perspective.

(5) To re-attach the camera and resume the game normally, re-enter the console (`) and modify the CVAR cl_fov back something normal:
cl_fov 60

And there you have it. Take some screenshots. Make a vid! Have some fun with it.

There happens to be a CVAR for detaching the camera from the player, here it is: g_detachCamera=1 to re-attach g_detachCamera=0.

I will give you my honest veiw.

The vid was put together great, and sounded good as well. What i don't understand is with all the action at your disposal you kept showing you shooting at boats and targets you could not see. The work is very good but you could choose much better action to put in it next time you produce one.

But nice work none the less.

Yea I know, it's been a while ago that I made this.. I've learned a lot since Was just trying to show off the beauty of the engine, didn't have real good action parts.
