Wake up bois! 6,5h til filmings. O'boy, am I going to have a rewarding pint of Absinthe today. Apparently some sucker at the company we have IT support for, has deleted a shitload of files from a network server. Good luck with that. Especially when the backup tapes haven't been working I can't wait how hard this will hit the fan next week. Thank Jebus I'm nowhere near that list of ppl who are responsible for this shit

Yay. Them files were found on a backup tape from this weeks monday. Now I won't get death threats next week Now I'm going to stop the offtopix and get the hell outta work!

Looking forward to filming today hopefully I might be more than cannon fodder today

Just installed a new 5.1 surrounds speaker setup... my neighbors will hate me even more with the sounds of way too loud gunfire and music.

Aw well fuck em' I have more firearms.

Sweeeeeeet sounds listening to some Metallica at about half past too loud on the volume knob. the subwoofer is making my drink surface ripple!!!

there's actually a part I've jsut rememebred that we didn't do, the end part of Mashtuur where they rescue the pilot.

Balls . I need a good solid number of guys for that as well, who cna make it tomorrow? say 19:30GMT?

Hopefully I can get enough and we can finish another section, Zatar is now complete. We only have threed outstanding parts to do, biggest being Songhua, smallest being Daqing with a small part for the end of Mash as well. If you can get hamachi we can use Snakes Daqing mod on a local server. What I need to do is the hawk liftoff scene whci leads onto the hawk para jump we did.

Corrected section of the above strip of footage, the only other flaw was that a piece of text that should occur when the hawk takes off from South Gas, appears in the cod 4 type fight with the tank, but as that part is already completed, it doesnt matter.

Just watching it, and its awesome to see it all tying together! And I did spot the text in the wrong place, came back here and you'd already posted it

I dont even remember that bit on Mashtuur with the humvee and tank column rolling to the gas station

Just like we used to get "The Strachen View" on Match of the Day, now its time for teh Snake view

- The improvisation of RD exiting the Voddie is brilliant
- Camera angles = win
- Troop movement is generally very good (looks "authentic", not "the pwned life" style )
- Text could do with staying on screen for a tad longer, i.e. the start of hummer column I can just about read it all in time. Perhaps an extra .5 or 1 second would do it (globally, not just this one).
- Sounds need improving (obviously gona be done anyway), as BF2 sounds aren't loud enough and theres a lot of jump of rotors on the heli between clips (on/off/on/off, etc)
- The jump between Gas Station to the "river-cod4-bed" is a little sudden, was half expecting to see the tank roll out of the Gas Station rather than a sudden full blown firefight! Just a quick infill scene (all of 5 seconds) is needed IMO. Just to tie it in a bit better. Unless its going to be done with a voice over?

- My BH minigun > your MEC troops
- (BF2 glitch) Near the end, going up the stairs before the BH explosion from C4, the white support's M249 doesnt cast a shadow!! Wonder if all "mixed kits" (i.e. black spec ops) do this???

Loving it though, cant wait for the final production: even if it is gona be like an hour long! Nice to see Mashtuur tied up at last. Shame about our epic Bridge battles and the infamous LB

Can add a wee part for the bit between the cod battle but what i was thinking is that, when the hawk takes off and flies away, it would move onto the cod4 part as if they've moved in, as the time gap between both is only meant to be about 20 mins, but i could just add something like 20 Minutes later... then ahve that part occur . I'm afraid for the mashtuur entrance though i canna change the length, its superimposed over the footage, and I dont have the original fraps file, but I am improving the length of others.

Its' coming together nicely, and I'm sure your far from finished, but for it to be truely epic, these need correcting IMO.

-The blackhawk sounds at the very beginning are out of sync and it sounds like the same recording playing over and over again, though that may be becuase of the BR file.

-A lot of of the sound replacements sucks, especially on the carbines and the tank turret, and some again are also out of sync.

-Some firing occurs, and no sounds plays at all, but im guessing thats because you're not finished.

-No voice overs, but I'm sure that's coming.

-Fight scenes are crying out for more special affects.

-Tank fight scene, is crying out for a sniper in the distance taking out troops.

But I like,

-Epic storyline

-Good camera angles.

-Good troop movement.

-The text is good, but I'd suggest fading out to a black screen (evey time scene changes) and writing the text on the black screen, kind of like this
