I'd support Jr driving the 3 if he wants to do it. Otherwise, retire the number. No one else is worthy to drive under it.
Rear spoiler or rear wing, that is the question.

Larger plates...
Spoilers instead of wings...
No bump drafting rules lifted (YAY!!)...
The 2010 season should be interesting.

More power, spoilers, bump drafting ... this sounds like old school NASCAR to me ... hang on boys.
Daytona Shootout next weekend ... be there
Does Honda do NASCAR yet?
"The President does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation" - Barack Obama (a freshman senator from Illinios)
Fortunately, no.
hmmm...
Honda...
They have a V8...small, but they have one. They could come with the dinosaur V8's in Nascar, in a Very short period of time I think.
And what would it go in....?
An Accord?
An Acure TL?
I'll wager that if Honda came to the Sprint Cup Series, they would rule in 3 years or less. I fear they would stink up the show far worse than Toyota has.
Frankly, the thought of Honda going Cup racing is rather unsettling.

god i cant believe its already almost here again. i feel sorry for those drivers. give them a little time off ffs
Bud Shootout this Saturday on FOX!
Junior fastest in practice, with Mark and Jeff close behind ...
Daytona 500 qualifying on ... Martin, Jr, Newman, Montoya, Johnson round out the top 5 so far.
I won't be able to watch the race... unless I call in sick to work
Danica was holding the bottom on the yellow line and got plowed into on the right side by Nelson Piquet Jr. Showed some impressive car control going through the grass, spinning onto the track, but keeping it off the wall. Had been running between the top 5 and top 10 until she was spun out.
After watching Danica in the ARCA race...I'm impressed. She can handle that 3400lb. stock car, thats the one and only question I had in my mind. I knew she wouldnt take many risks in the draft, shes too smart for that, and Tony Jr has probably already cautioned her not to do so.
7th place...
I'm impressed.
I hope she runs the Nationwide race here in Daytona.
I also think (after watching this race) that she should tell IRL to go to hell. Honestly. I think she'll have a better season in Nationwide than she does in IRL.
Opinions?
And now for the shootout.
fucking bring it...

She answered all the questions flying around and then some. Mad props, Danica, you straight up have skills.

Like what I'm seeing of the extra horsepower from watching the Shootout. 2010 looks like we'll have much better racing.
Yeah, I agree. Although (damnit...) the larger plate wont be used at Talladega, if I heard correctly.Stingray24 wrote:

However...by the time 'dega rolls around, we'll be back to the spoiler and who the hell knows what that'll do.
Wish I could watch the duels thursday (gotta work, fuck all hehe) I certianly hope Jr's Duel and 500 cars are better than his shootout car...jesus...
way to start off a season...wicked loose off, and unfixable...who screwed the pooch on that I wonder? hehe
And Lance had the nuts to say over the radio "go up there and get it, we dont need to bring this car home." umm...
who the fuck was he fooling?!
ah well...
Haven't seen passing like this since ... well, I can't remember when! Good move on giving the boys more power, NASCAR! And for letting them use the bumper! Love me some 2010 rule changes!
Staaaart yoooour engiiiiiiiiines!
For the record, the wreck happened in front of her and she had no way to avoid it. Congrats to Tony Stewart!
