If you are registerered as a Republican you cannot switch to Democrat during the Caucas, I didnt know this, but it makes sense. A few people got turned away from the Caucas because they didnt know that either. Hopefully they'll switch to Independant so in 4 years they can support whichever candidate they feels is best for the country
