Having problems as well.

Though it seems intermittent.

Apparently, there is now a static.bf2s.com subdomain for BF2s

If you are using fixed DNS tables on your computer for BF2s (as many are since the days of DNS problems), then you will be having problems.  You need to add an entry to your hosts file for static.bf2s.com.

I use fixed DNS tables for BF2s and was experiencing the same problem.  But, after modifying my hosts file, I'm back to speedy.

wat (I actually should know what you're talking about, seeing as I learnt that in Sixth Form, but.....I'm drawing a blank here - I really have gone down the drain in terms of intelligence since I've started Uni)

Anyway It's always been fine for me

There has been a static.bf2s.com subdomain for a long, long time.

For me, static.bf2s.com resolves to 74.63.74.50: correct or not correct?

All pings time out.....

I just got some clarity ... or, rather, inside information

static.bf2s.com is currently down at the moment ... it is supposed to be a 3 hour outage, but hasn't yet come back on-line

Curses.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
