This is taken from the original battledirector cam files as the youtube version. This version has more kills, higher quality, and music added. It's also about 2 minutes longer than the original. It would be a director's cut, but I didn't create the original cam files. I just frapsed them and started fresh. There's not too much non-combat time aside from the opening. This was originally over 15 minutes long but I did some more editing of non-combat scenes.

This isn't a skill video, it's a teamwork video.

Credit to espion for the directing the cam files.

Enjoy the movie, feedback welcome. I can't help it if you don't like the music.

Sorry dude, i did watch the movie, i didnt just criticise him, just frustrates me.
Anyways its a good movie, but the music isnt to my liking but opinion on music used isnt important, some very nice kills
loving the camera work, alot of time and effort used on a great movie

its called a sandbox mod i made that pb didnt like.

Great movie cablecopulate. I loved the use of BR footage which was edited into a smooth and flowing movie. Really, really nice work there. The addition of Operation Harvest to the bargain just made me enjoy it even more, its one of my favourite AF maps, despite not playing it alot these days. The background of the lighting storm adds the intensity of the TV strikes. Music was great too and I liked the intro/song description so people don't need to ask you a million times "which songs did you use in that movie"

9.5/10 for me. Quality Chopper fragmovie without all the fussing over '1337' TV shot etc. +1

Thanks for the review of the movie, glad you liked it. But I've just got to ask, what could I have done to get that final .5 for a 10/10 from you? That's killing me!

Good stuff! I like it. Only thing I would recommend would be a kill counter in the corner, just to reinforce the fact that you and espion fknpwn and you went 104-0.

I had considered that, but it involved watching the movie keeping track of all the kills per scene, then watching it again to film it with all the text shut off. Plus this movie was filmed with battlerecorder cam files and not raw demo files, so there's a chance all 104 kills weren't there (I believe they are). But I do know I ran into a snafu at one point and did not fraps a tank kill. I could fudge the numbers with all the wide shots where you can't see for sure, but I figured better to be safe than sorry and having people saying the kill total doesn't add up to what's on-screen.

The movie took me about 15 hours total, doing all that other stuff was just too much.

Also, for a little dvd commentary; I had to render this movie about five times because each time I would find a small error (usually one frame) and had to fix it. I also had to encode to divx twice and upload twice. I was completely done with the movie, uploaded and everything and I noticed one of the song credits was suddenly missing.

It's getting good reviews though so it was all worth it.

Glad you liked the video.

Battledirector is a program from the sir community. It's basically a different way to view your demo files. It also removes player names and all the on-screen text for you. It's a cool program and makes third-person footage look cooler, but there's a bit of a learning curve to making stuff look good with it.
