So I just downloaded 0.7, and it's good to be back. Especially since I threw in some more RAM. I thought it would suck without Squad/APC spawning and no minimap but it's actually alot better. Much more teamwork. The best thing is the new sound/distance thing. You don't need spotting or anything when you have your ears as the radar (you need headphones to make the most of it though)

One gripe is that I CTD'd when I revived someone

The new sounds are nice but removing the minimap and map display delay time ruined it for me.

I'm back baby. Insurgency last night was awesome with the new Ambusher kit. The stealth I had to use, crawling my way to blow up the enemy spawn truck with my IEDs, to snipe the guy manning the machine gun on the jeeps, to take off two soldiers from afar crossing the desert, destroying a rally point with two swings of my knife.

The new random deviation I find easy to adapt to. Don't know why some are complaining. Just prone and wait, it's PR. Patience!

I still haven't downloaded it! I really should. Are there as many servers as v0.6?

Now there are more. Last night, at least 6 servers had games going, and 3 had 50 or more players. 24/7 Insurgency at thebattlearena is kick-ass. They almost always have a full game.

Hmmm, though I only get 114kbs so it'll be 2:30 hours.

And I need the client levels aswell??

Yeah, they split it into two downloads. You need core files first, then levels. As for slow download speed, do you have a cheap connection?

Just register for free, and choose the moddb link, not the Filefront one.

ahahah ''only'' lol i dl'd it at like 70kb/s anyways it's worth the time, c ya on PR
oh btw the random deviation thing makes sniping much much harder.... like, i once had an insurgent's head in the center of my gb snioper crosshairs, i fired 3 times but never got a hit. then i died. i think best sniper kit is actually the mosin nagant(seems weird but oh well...)

I been playing PR religiously from v4 to v6 just haven't had the time to download v7.

Yep, I haven't downloaded PR 0.7 yet either.  I did feel like downloading it this past week, it's just that I don't have enough time to play one whole round because the battles take like 2-3 hours.  PR is a kickass mod though.

PR was fucking ace. Pity my comp sucks and Bf2 disk is broken.

I remember doing all nighters on squad teamplay servers. Good times.
