OK, today i installed Northern Strike and updated punkbuster, i went to play in a server and just as i clicked 'join', it reverted to the main menu and a punkbuster message appeared --> "This server only allows players with unmodified content to join. Revert your version of Battlefield 2142 to the official version to join"
I have 1.40 installed as Northern Strike wouldn't install otherwise, this problem happens to all the Northern Strike servers that i try to join and the normal Battlefield servers work fine. Can someone see a solution to this, help much appreciated.
