She said where he was from. He did not correct her. So, according to the interview, he was from Spike. I do not care where he may have been. As for the interview, he was from Spike. So fuck off.Johnny_Extremer wrote:

Nobody said the BBc was perfect... but it is a lot fairer than FOX.usmarine2005 wrote:

He's been in the videogame buisness a long time. And I didn't say he wasn't from Spike Tv because he is. You made him sound like he was one of those reporters that didn't know what they were talking about. When in fact he does know what he was talking about. Know what your talking about before you try and make someone look bad.usmarine2005 wrote:

You simply prove my point that Fox gets a story, then brings on people to discuss it.
Is that honestly your interpretation, or are you just trying to stirr a debate? This "discussion" consisted of a person ignorant of the topic at hand spreading misinformation and being given more airtime than the one person there who actually knew what he was talking about, with the last two thirds of the segment consisting solely of women making conclusions based on more misinformation and a complete lack of any professional or even recreational knowledge of the gaming industry.usmarine2005 wrote:

You can't honestly tell me that you consider getting four clearly opinionated women, with no knowledge of the video game industry beyond what they hear from their equally misinformed peers, together to be a fair discussion of video games.
That's like getting four hippies together for a discussion on environmentalism and calling it fair and balanced.

I did read and look what you put. Lbj was saying that the ladies didn't know what they were talking about. Then you add oh he's just from Spike Tv he doesn't know nothing either. But you missed that. They brang him on the show to talk to him but they didn't give him a fair chance, it was like oh this game is filled so much sex, then he said no it's not and they had a fit. He was right and they were wrong and they didn't like it.usmarine2005 wrote:

Ok, you prove my point again. Fox sees a story yes? Controversial and will get people talking yes? Brings on a videogame expert and some chick who is offended or whatever. Then the fun begins. That happens everywhere. Happens all the time. Not just news but everywhere. However, it makes for good TV and is a reason people watch it. My point is not who is right or wrong, it is that some people in this thread cannot wrap their heads around the idea that this is good TV. If you want dull and boring news, read a newspaper.Johnny_Extremer wrote:

As a news channel, FOX News isn't good TV. It might be good for another audience, but not as a news channel.usmarine2005 wrote:

I didn't have time to read through all the replies but did anyone else notice the woman who said the people playing video games are mostly adolescent males? the last i heard (and checked a few places on google) the avg video gamer is about 26-29 or so, exactly the target for games like this.
Retards. Grown men like to play video games, when a kid gets home, hes going to want to play his dads video game, take that right there. Now take an "R" Rated movie such as the somewhat recent release "Superbad" which is obviously marketed at Teens, which, according to IMDB has a huge amount of Nudity Etc.- far more then a game like Mass Effect. Women also watch "R" rated movies all the time- which kids also have access too- without parental controls of any type whatsoever. The ESRB needs to have it's head examined? E = G E10+= PG T= PG13 M= R and AO= NC17- although even then Mature says right underneath it 17+. If Kids were looking for it, they could find it with exceeding ease on a computer or in a movie. The Spike TV guy was trying, but he could have had so much better of an argument. The problem is, people love bashing video games - except those who play them, and the people who play them either a) don't have a position to do anything or b) cant because they will get fired.
I think this clip from the Australian TV show "The Chasers War on Everything" shows just how fair and balanced fox is...
Gotta love Fox!

I wish we had a show like that in America.
Oh wait, we do. Real Time with Bill Maher.
typical stupid blonde republican. the game is rated Mature. what is there to debate?

This is my first thread over 100 posts. Where's mah cookies.
yeah i just wanted to sound all dramatic because in all reality cspan sucks if you want even the slightest amount of entertainment. it really is the ultimate news channel. the BBC doesn't even hold a match to it. everything is literally a mirror or even just a direct recording of what the hell happened. zero opinions, zero speculation. its literally just the facts.adam1503 wrote:
