They're both about the same price, but they look pretty much different from each other. So which one should it be (read: which one do you like the most)

Help me out guys, 'cause i really can't choose

strat is a great all-around guitar. It's especially great for blues, jazz, and classic rock like SRV and hendrix

ibanez is good for just hardcore metal or a steve vai sound.

i go for strat.

Both of those guitars will have significantly different tones because of their pickup configuration. What type of music do play? Also take into account your amp and any effects you use will also impact your sound. Personally I'd go for the strat because I like the single coil tone.

I have the fender, its an excellent little instrument.  A lot of the sound quality depends on the quality of the amp you use though...

2 different guitars for 2 different styles of music to be honest.

I have a Jackson Dinky, an ESP M-II and a Fender Telecaster. Fenders are the best of the best for rock / blues / crisp tones etc. The ESP blows the Telecaster out of the water when it comes to crunch, chugg, twang and just about every other onomatopoeic verb you can come up with that is a synonym for 'Goddamned heavy'.

Buy which caters for your tastes / playing style best.

Ibanez all the way, fits for nearly every music- and playing style!

Fenders are good though, but if you want to play metal for example, it wont give you the sound you´re searching. Ibanez fit pretty good for Jazz etc. too.

Ok, Ibanez S or RG series look is kinda heavy strat design, but who cares.

Further only US made Fenders are really good guitars and have that unique Strat/Tele sound... Most series Fenders are made in korea/china now, sure, they got the look, the features etc, but those are just not the original (and expensive) ones.

Any japanese/korean/chinese Ibanez> cheap Fender series

Me personally: 1967 Tobacco Sunburst Gibson Les Paul.

However, the only way to buy a guitar is to sit and play several, and I promise you, PROMISE YOU, that sooner or later one of them is going to fit into your cradle perfectly, your hands are going to glide over it, and you are going to KNOW that THIS is MY GUITAR.

If you don't get that feeling from either of them, keep looking. If you get that feeling from both, go with the one that looks like it will attract more pussy.

I have a fender. Nothing special, pretty average guitar. My brother got an Ibanez, and he's never had a complaint about it.
