OK so I got a new/used mb and processor. SO i had to reinstall everything.
I installed COD4.
When I go to play I just get a black screen BUT i still hear the sound as if its starting up. I can even here when my mouse goes over the buttons but I CANT SEE ANYTING!!!!
Someone please help!!!!
OK I tried new drivers. No LUCK
I also installed 2142: the beginning start up movies work BUT the login screen is all GRAY. and its the same thing I can here just can't see.
I ALSO tried running 3dmark06: it ran only the screen was ALL BLACK like COD4. BUT when it was done I STILL got a Score.
I have: asus MOBO, Opteron 165 939 CPU, 2gb RAM, AGP 7800 GFX card, Windows xp home ed.
Here's what i've tried so far:
- New Drivers
- Reinstalling the game
- Re installing the drivers again
- Reinstalling the Vid card
- Running driver cleaner pro
- installed 2142
- installed and ran 3dmark06

- running antivirus scan
- running nvidia's stress test
- looking in bios although i don't really know what i was looking for
- changing the resolution
- changing refresh rate
- begging & Pleading
- Praying
- Yelling
EVERYTHING ELSE WORKS FINE

- Reinstalling windows
- Kicking it
- throwing it out the window
- I'm first going to try to install a new wire for my monitor. I don't know what else to try.
