although I've been playing more CoD4 lately, I think TF2 will have more lasting value, requires more teamwork (which is the most important thing in "multiplayer" in my opinion, and that's what we're discussing here), and is overall a more engaging experience.

CoD4 is just like CoD2 and I didn't like CoD2. At all.
TF2 however was win.

Sorry, disagree. TF2 is a solid follow-up to an old school classic, and whether or not you appreciate it there has always been a rampant community.
