Any good screen recorders?

I was trying to make a quick video tut in Maya 8.5, but when I opened the movie file, it didn't show the actual workspace in Maya.
All I saw was the menus and my mouse.
I was using the ZD Soft screen recorder.

So..

Does anyone know of any screen recorders which will actually record the workspace?

Yeah Camtasia is what I use to make tutorials for any kind of software. Use it for everything but games that require video processing.

Nah I don't think it does. It only records apps where the FPS counter is visible (Unless ofcourse you chose to hide it)

The latest Fraps version can record desktops... In Vista.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity.
