some pretty damn sweet work you got there. I am working on too many models to make them all that detailed at the moment. But some will be as detailed as I possibly can.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Thanks guys.

I started off learning by my self, but I learned a lot after taking an 8 week course on animation/modeling.

The Thompson, UMP, and Squad Marksman Rifle aren't done yet though. It'll probably be awhile till I continue on them.

I've posted WIPs of it in two forums, but that's about it.
I also gave it to my "employer" so he could get it textured, since it's for a short film he's doing.

Submit them to Project reality mod for bf2 they could use a silences m4 and maby a Thompson for insurgents? And for sure the UMP they will love that. As long as u actually made it!   www.realitymod.com

in school im taking a CAD class and an Animation class, and its my 3rd year but we still arnt doing anything more advanced than modeling our own cell phones or other objects lol

GR34: The poly count on those models is waaay to high to be used in a game. I'm rather "detail conscious", so I have a hard time with low-poly modeling.

Ranger: If it's just animation you're in to, you don't really need to be good at modeling. I tried some animating, but it's quite hard. D:

I dont think we need those, and as DefCon said, they are WAY too detailed to be used in a video game in the forseeable future They are damn great. I love details too, but if you are modeling for a game you have to constantly be compromising detail for "framerate".

Sure the insurgents have ww2 stuff, but its important to keep in mind that its russian ww2 weaponery. The UMP - as far as I know isnt used by any conventional army either, its more of a police and special force weapon for specialized cases. Sub Machince Guns wont be favored by that many troops in a large scale battle or even large city maps - even basrah.

Still a good thing you support the mod
