I buy a lot of music, i like to listen to it at high quality whether that be via my headphones at home on or on my fine car audio system. Therefore i love music and cant help but buy it, i wont illegally download and i try not to listen to compressed music. I cant get enough of the feeling when u put a new cd on and that first listen.

Anyway, i bought these albums this week and im altogether impressed

Kate Nash ~ Made of Bricks

https://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1743143.JPG

A good first listen, even better after a couple, she is obviousley very talented and i find the album to be well produced. She can sound a bit pykee/caravan/chavette during the album but im willing to let that go due to the fact songs like 'Mouthwash' and 'Pumpkin Soup' are just brilliant. One track 'Birds' is definatley one you should be skipping tho, im struggling to understand why its on the album. But all the while, its a good listen.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Duran Duran's ~ Red Carpet Massacre

https://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/DURAN07.JPG

Im a big fan of Duran Duran, i grew up with their music and have continued to listen to them over the years. Ive not been blown away by Duran Durans later music, i guess since 'Ordinary World', which in itself it fucking epic. Red Carpet Massacre seems ok, i notice Justin Timberlake has some influence on a few of the tracks, 'Falling Down' being the current stand out track of the album so far.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Soulwax ~ Most of the Remixes

https://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/5092472.JPG

Anyone who is familiar with '2 Many DJ's: Radio Soulwax: Part 2' will be well aware of what Soulwax are capable of. I started with CD1 and that begins with a 'Gossip' track and theres a distinctive amount of distortion in the track produced by the Soulwax duo which is a characteristic of their mix style. I honestly enjoyed the 'Radio Soulwax' album and this album promises to deliver what i expect of these guys. You will find Soulwax remixing tracks by artists ranging from 'Klaxons' to 'Felix Da Housecat' to 'Kylie Minogue'. Look out for the excellent 'The Lords of Acid ~ I Sit on Acid' which you will also find on 'Radio Soulwax'. If you have a decent subwoofer in your system expect it to be well used and even better if you have a top quailty audio system!

I don't buy music when I'm broke.

I did, however, resurrect some of my MP3 collection from the grave this week. While I can't name everything (it'd be a good 10 gigabytes of music), I can safely say that my metal > that absolute shite you bought.
I mean, Duran Duran? Didn't they go out of fashion in the 80s?

EDIT:
And before the mods get me, I'm freaking justified here. I mean, Duran fucking Duran! My MOTHER has better taste in music.

I'm a poor bugger, so I download my music.

Just downloaded the Australian version of the Ministry of Sound Annual 2008.
Most of it sucks, but there are some songs that I can stick on repeat for 2 hours.

I buy lots of CDs too. This week, I got:

Grendel - Harsh Generation [EBM/Industrial]
Samael - Solar Soul [Industrial metal]
The Project Hate MCMXCIX - In Hora Mortis Nostræ [Death metal]
Gorefest - Rise to Ruin [Death metal]

I won't describe each one because I doubt people are really interested.

I don't buy albums usually. iTunes Store/"legal" ways ftw.

Although I'm planning on buying Queens of the Stone Age's 3 albums.

QOTSA are awsm, i have their first album and i like that very much. I love how people come in and flame what music i buy, what does it matter to you? if you read and understood the first post i clearly stated i buy a lot of music. id love to come round your house and see how imaginative your music collection is. I wouldnt say im into hard core metal, i.e. if youre talking about death metal and that but i like will pretty much listen to anything as long as think the band is original and are capable of something more than just a gang fuck of instruments and some weak vocals and lyrics.

I can't promise I'll try, but I'll try to try.

By the way at some of the seemingly hostile attitude to Bagg's taste in music, namely one band in particular, I'm no Duran Duran fan but "Ordinary World" for one is an awesome track. Just for the record on my part, no music "goes out of fashion". Sure there are times when one genre reigns supreme, in the 80s it was what is now mostly referred to as "80s Music" with distinctive synthesiser sounds and snappy drumbeats. Duran Duran would fall into this genre-of-sorts but just because "80s music" wouldn't be considered popular nowadays that doesn't mean it's out of fashion and thus bad. For fucks sake, you can hardly call the mass-produced Hip-Hop shit good even though it is supposedly fashionable, nor could you say the same of the popular whiney emo bullshit, not to mention that terrible waste of talent that is most sub-genres of metal now. Hell if music is good because it's "fashionable" I'm fucking proud to call my taste in music blatanty obsolete.

Foo Fighters - Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace
Their newest album, and absolutely brilliant. The best album they have ever released, and I would say the 3 first tracks are in the top 5 songs they have ever made. A must buy/get.

The Hives - The Black and White Album
Their spanking new album. Great songs and not as 'fussy' as their previous albums.

Linkin Park - Minutes to Midnight
I heard "Bleed it out" on MTV, and actually liked it, so I decided to get the album. Unfortunately, the rest of the songs sucked

I got a Hives albums somewhere, 'Your New Favorite Band' i think, it was ok but hardly one i found myself looking for on a regular basis but i'm gonna go and listen to a few tracks of their new one.

Im gonna go find this Andy McKee artist, what genre is it Ty?
