Yeah well the linearity was a huge problem with the first. We were given a whole island, believed we could attack an outpost/compound from any direction and the battle would be changed a fair bit, but that was completely wrong. It was waypoints and entering an area from the one direction.

Plus when you look at the trailers for crysis, they always showed the player cloak, run in, jump, shoot, swap to strength, throw something, cloak and then move somewhere else. Looked great.

In actual gameplay, you cloak, move 10 metres and are out of energy. Jump once and energy 3/4. That pissed me off more than anything and really took away from the suits originality. You could never string a combo of suit moves to do anything cause it bled energy like it was on it's rag.

I just turned on cheats to extend the cloak. It wasn't worth it otherwise.

What's the point of playing if you just want to be so Overpowered the enemy doesn't stand a chance

You already are, but it's more irritating without.

Or do it the way and play through once normally and then again with infinite suit energy

If you are going to play with infinite energy, why bother doing it in the campaign rather than a custom map?

EDIT: also, was I the only one who hated anything below DELTA difficulty? (the "hardest")

Interested with how Crysis 2 turns out, but I will definitely be in a group of late buyers on that one.

My expectations of gameplay, story, etc coming from Crytek has certainly lowered.

If it gets good reviews on those fronts though, C2 could be a great game.
I definitely hope they link the games up though, or at least explain what happens after the end of the first game instead of disregarding it. So far it seems like Prophet is the only recurring character. There are rumours Alcatraz (new guy) is actually Nomad.

A screenie for one of the new guns was taken with a revamped section of the island, whether that was just for testing purposes or not I don't know.

If they DON'T do something about that cliffhanger at the end of Crysis, I will forever disregard Crytek as a developer trying to be good in the story department... It would make sence for the first mission beeing Prophet going on his rampage in the Asteriod on the island... then moving him to assist in defending the major cities...
