Even if a new patch comes out, they will probably fuck things up worse than they are. You can't really say DICE has been very successful in general with patches for bf2.

I've already heard this and read it on a community forum. I think it's bullshit and I won't believe it. At least I won't have any false hope then.
Wow, that's a large amount of money for fucking a game up..Patches and nose-fixed are extremely complex and expensive. However the next to last BF2 Patch version 1.4 cost approximately $300,000. The reason for the enormous costs is mainly at the complex tests of the software and different conditions and on the most different systems.

the game is fine how it is, can u imagine they patch its and yes it makes some nice fixes but ends up leaving us with a crash to desktop like bug and we have to wait months for EA to make a fix

To be honest, I hope there wont be any new patches. Everytime a new patch came out, an aspect of the game disappeared. For gods sake we can not even shoot while standing up from prone position! Whats next? We can only shoot while being stationary? If there is a next patch it will only bring us more nerfed stuff, nothing else...
