I don't think it's childish. A few months ago I was on a flight from Utah to Texas. Soldier whom I assume was being called to duty or was just done with his vacation was in the seat infront of me, at the little entrance to the plane. This one guy said, "Hey GI, thank you" as he walked down the aisle.

Yeah some bitch did this to a friend of mine who was in the marines, UK version... He left it after some time in Iraq and came to uni to do a course on counter terrorism, so anyway, we were on the uni ski trip and it was the evening where everyone was going to a club, somehow it gets brought up that he was in iraq and this bitch starts slating him saying he is a cunt for fighting there and how he shouldnt have done what he was ordered, so i butt in and give her a fuckin clue about how you can just not do what your ordered, theres this thing called court martial, then she backs off but starts off agian at the start of the queue, so a bouncer butts in and goes look girl, i was in the army and i know my stuff so stfu. she didnt say anything and after we got in came to appologise to my mate, im assuming the bouncer taught her some shit while she waited at the front of the queue for 5 minutes.

The difference there is I and a few people around me stick up for the soldier, as its not the soldier who is in the wrong for doing what they are told, its the people ordering them to. This is ofc unless they are quite literally breaking international law, eg shooting civs or tourtering people.

Well Marine. You shouldn't have been in a public grocery store in your Camies. If your Drill Instructor saw you, let alone a serious retired Marine or lets say your company Gunny, you would probably never do it again, but I could be wrong.  Secondly, fuck that dumb-witted pussy, who thinks he's a man. Remember this, we protect freedom, at a cost most will never even begin to understand.  The US Constitution gives you the right to be a moron or a grocery bag boy...

Look, I am not a soldier nor will I ever will be but I am enjoy camoflage clothing (I am in airsoft). I got all different types and patterns

TWICE i was called a "baby killer" from COMPLETE strangers because i was wearing "chocolate chip" camo with a matching hat. During those two times these remarks were made at me while waiting on the bus: "why don't you go to iraq and get a bullet in your head" , "the army is for babys", "why waste your life in a hopeless cause?" "guns are bad."

Most of the time I would answer back "I am not in the military.....I am just wearing this for fun....stay cool man/miss" 

Only when this one man followed me and kept on insisting that "I hope your going to die in iraq" i answered quietly to him: "because of you when I get shipped into afghanistan I am going to personal kill some muslims kids...." (no offense to muslims; sorry 'stryyker' i am not a heroic like you; plus my evil dark side was playing up that day) He finally shut his mouth and gave me a shocked looked.

I only said that because I was so pissed off because I know for a fact camoflage clothing is quite popular and alot of none military personal do wear them for fashion. And being me, my personality,  I get very angry when ever i am "singled out" especially when other people wear camoflage as well.

But seriously remember this: they have the RIGHT TO say these things....but many of them dont' know that this is a RIGHT that was fought and gained. .....ya 'rights'....you will start to miss when its gone.

just to let you know tef he's not a marine yet he is currently in DEP program, so his cammies aren't issued - they don't have a name tap on them and if they do then he must have them on himelf .... its kindly like purchasing your own cammies, you can wear them where ever

what stood him out in a public place is, cammie bottoms and marine corps tee and he probably is sporting the high and tight


but once stryyker goes through boot camp he'll know you can not wear cammies off base into a civilan building unless for emergencys

What about when I see Army guys at the airport or on the subway in their ACUs? Or is it just a USMC thing? Or do they wear them when they're heading back to base?

haha yes beat or is it shoot some sense into these strange people. I say strange because as i told em this if for fashion but they still insist on making me hear they "anti war cries" which is actually wishes for me to DIE and "get a bullet in your head."
