The reason why i dont like smirnoff as much is because its like the vodka in alcopops which basically taste like cheap fizzy pop you know the 30p bottle you buy from the corner shop.

At least with Stoli you can mix it with bollinger champagne.

smirnoff is also distilled in north america if im not mistaken...where as im pretty sure stoli is an import

I havent tried Stoli yet, but Smirnoff is great. Finlandia is great too IMO. Worst vodkas are Kalinka or the hungarian "Kőrös Royál" (made of the good old etanol + tapwater combo). Id like to try a real russian vodka, i mean not the ones in the liquor stores, but an original, home-made one.

Vodka ftw!! I just got a bottle of absolut and a bottle of stolichnaya for my 18th birthday Stoli id probably put just ahead, unfortunately i haven't had the opportunity to drink any prestige vodka as no-one else (like my parents) drink it so they don't bother splashing out for a good one.
