Could they have made those god damn ear buds any more painful?

It's like sticking a rock in your ear.. then twisting it around for a while.  Does anyone have any similar alternatives that don't hurt so much.  They'd need to be about the same size (they'd have to work with a cycling helmet...) as I go on long (2.5+ hour 30+ mile) bike rides with them so they'd have to by relatively comfy..

Well you eventually get use to them, it took me a week or 2 before they finally stopped hurting.

You can get those headphones that wrap around the back of your neck, the might be the kinda thing you're looking for.

Other than that, creative (and probably other companies too) make earbuds that fit nicely deep into your ear.

I guess I'll look into that second option.  I kind want to be able to hear out of one ear.. considering that I'm like 2 feet away from 18 wheelers all the time

get the ones that clip over your ear, so they're like headphones but on a wire and not a frame.

Sounds like you might be wearing earbuds that are too big for you. Try going down a size!

Yeah, no shit, I never use ear buds for mp3 players ever. I don't want to go from mild tinnitus to tinnitus that fucks up your daily life.

What sort of ear buds are you talking about? the plastic ones? You can get foam ones which are a lot more comfortable.

this sort of idea

He's talking about audio earbuds not earplugs.

I've never tried them, but what of the ones that are attached to sunglasses?  Just brainstorming...

Probably even more uncomfortable just because they came with the sunglasses, lol.

Either grow bigger ears or don't wear a helmet......who wears a helmet for riding a bike?

Only headphones I use (apart from "Bose") these stick to your head, damn comfortable and the best sound you can get in it's class:

Oh, yeah forgot about the helmet. But still, these are the best.

I have these
I got them as a christmas present. But not really good for activities where you exercise.
But these would work fine since they are "travel headphones," "so you can enjoy music while exercising, skating or dancing," plus it has different sized earbuds so you can change it to what you want.

I believe your talking about the buds that come with Ipods, the white ones. They are far bigger then normal ones. I suggest clip on ones. They hook over your ear. And you can either have the pad or the bud style clipons. There pwnage really.

Maybe they make one without a microphone... or you can mod it so you can use your cell phone with it.
