I have thought about Iron Maiden v Metallica before but of all 4 choose what you think is the best metal band.

I'm in the middle of taking a Rock and Roll history class (no joke! BTW, best class I've ever taken), and as an expert let me tell you; Metallica would be nowhere if it wasn't for Sabbath.

I put Metallica. I'm not really into metal at all, but they are pretty accessible and mainstream (and I know you metalheads probably hate that!) and I like their stuff. Heck I'd probably like Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath and all those other bands, too. But I just don't go out of my way to get their stuff.
Black Label, with Sabbath coming in close second, Then Maiden and Metalica...Old good, New Bad.
