Yea it makes sense that a completely random explosion, not triggered by anything because nothing existed created the universe and everything in it. If you want to go by that ludicrous and warped argument, then Christianity isn't right and some super early pagan gods are responsible for the creation of the world.
Evolution is not how one guy thought things work, it's how things have been demonstrated to work. More thorough understanding of genetics has proven Darwinian evolution to be pretty much spot on - as have observations of evolution in plant life, which can be more easily observed due to the shorter timespan between generations.
