Okay so i'm currently a Master Sergeant with over 22,000 points and all basic combat awards (Basic Knife, Basic Pistol....).
I checked the requirements for the promotion to First Sergeant and i meet, then exceed the awards. I have a few veteran badges, sniper and spec ops, but i have yet to recieve this promotion. Its killing me 8-( agh!

Please help!

Yep ... when you hit 20,000 you become one or the other ... that 28,000 points to your next rank will come in no time.

Correct. It doesn't matter though. You won't loose any unlock points or anything. Just make sure you have all basic badges before 50,000 so you can become a Sergeant Major.

You need to get the "basic" badges if you want to be a Sergeant Major ... btw, the only real difference between the two ranks at 20,000 is just how it looks on the leader board.

Yeah, it sucks. I got to 20,000 without the badges on purpose thinking I'd get to rank up twice (well, that's how I get my jollys ), but I found out later that you can't get to first sergeant from master sergeant.

The only real downside is that first sergeants get precedence when applying for the commander role, which only happened to me once that I know of.

I got the higher ranks on the way to 60,000. Other than name it doesn't really matter....
