I recently started playing 1.0 online and I have to say, it is awesome.

The movement is so much more free. You can actually stand up after lying down without having to tap crouch. . Dolphin diving is fun I don't know why they got rid of it, stupid whiners.

I'm sure it runs more smoothly than 1.41 aswell. For me there is less choppyness and maps load quicker.

C4 throwing is fun and blackhawks are ownage.

Me and 2 guys whored the blackhawk for a whole round on Mashtuur and we got over double of anyone elses score, and I got even more because I was gunning.

So they aren't globally ranked, who cares? It's so much more fun. I urge you all to go play!

1.0 had its fair share of bugs, 1.12 was superior. in 1.0 you can spawn on SL's out of bounds and survive, cap a flag without having to leave a vehicle, many crashes/glitches/exploits etc.

To anyone who supported the removal of dolphin diving and prone spamming:

The problem with dolphin diving was it was never supposed to be a part of the game, simply just an easy exploit in the BF2 engine. Plus, not to mention it looked stupid in a BATTLEFIELD game. But no need to start a debate now. >_>

its on the alternate ranking system.

Me and eFFe play 1.0 alot in the attack chopper, ive gone 80-0 with the TV missles that shoot a million miles.. Best spawncamping ever.

I play on the wake 1.0 server a bit, its usually a good game, but full to often.

I have 1.12 also, and while there are way more servers for it, there are NO players.

I play on 1.03 sometimes

Its the Version that comes with installed on your BF2 Disc if you gotten the game anywhere from like 2005 Christmas - Now..

So of course, all the noobs are on it that don't know they have to update, so you pretty much rape everyone that isn't there for the same reason you are..

Blackhawks on wake is the ownage.. even if your are solo'ing you can easily go like 50-0

I played 1.03 and 1.12, but i had to reinstall BF2..
1.12 had more servers but all of them gone mepty for some reason, 1.03 only has an karkand server left.

I have 2 battlefield installs one for 1.0 and the other one is for 1.12
How i did it?
Install BF2 (no update) copy/paste somewhere.
Update bf2 (but not the one you copy/pasted)
That's it 2 BF2's on 1 machine.
