Had a cool experience this morning on Wake Island. Some HiL guy, on his 'Hell is Loose' server, was commanding and got the brilliant idea of taking off in a JSF. Well, to make things easy on his task of commanding, I said I'd take it. Well, he flops into the water and explodes, then somehow reasons that it was all my fault he crashed (he was typing some response as to how I was mistaken if I thought he wasn't going to fly). So he takes off in a Blackhawk, mans the minigun and heatedly mows my ass down on the carrier where I stand. Well, I'm a one-strike-yer-out kinda guy when it comes to intended team-killing. So...what did I do? Next chance I got, I began TKing him whenever he appeared on his carrier, happily threw cuss words and miscellaneous lingual riff-raff his way. I guess all this verbal and digital abuse rather astonished him, because I was asked how I had the nerve to insult someone on their own clan server, to which I responded with a tidbit of information pertaining to exactly how much I cared about the feelings of his uber clan and his uber server. A few TK's later, I got autobooted. Cheered by these events, I decided to go have a bowl of Apple Jacks and a glass of eggnog.

I find it amazing how many clans there are whose members are willing to drive from their server team players who can round up ~50/0 k/d scores IAR, are willing to coordinate assaults, use VOIP and, follow orders straight from the top...if given, which wasn't happening. Scratch one server from my long list of favorites. Then again, what more could I have expected from a server with a juvenile banner, featuring two mammaries with the caption: "Drop the Big Ones"?

Moral of the story: Drink your eggnog!

Nothing like the power of admin to corrupt the weak-willed and power hungry.
I personally will probably never host, so my opinion is limited at best. I do believe that ranked sever admins have a responsibility to uphold to with the finite power they have been given. They should realize that they can control the entire outcome of the match simply by the kicks/bans they issue.

That being said, if the commander happens to be a dumbass, and goes joyriding in a jet while trying to type, wrecks and dies.....
Let it go, and switch teams.

If the commander then proceeds to blame you for his incredible lack of foresight by TK'ing you. Don't let it go, but still switch teams and proceed to type him a bunch of messages.... Then kill him while he types back.

If you are unlucky enough to have the commander also be a powermonger admin, then you're completely justified in downing (drowning in, your choice) eggnog or some other intoxicating beverage. Bottoms up, and smoke 'em if ya got 'em, cause the kick/ban is coming.

I couldn't switch teams. Auto-balance was on and the other side had more players...but I'm not about to let bs like that go without dipping my wick in some sweet revenge.

Again, I do when allowed, but autobalance can nerf that kind of vengeance. TKers can't be allowed to think they're safe behind the punishment button.

Then, I'd just make it my goal to tear him up in score, brag bout my shiny gold medal at the beginning of the next round...then take off. Wow, seems from all your stories i've read that their are some real wanker admins out there.

Kinda angers me that they go around abusing their power, when there are others (like me) who are often fighting a battle against those breaking the server rules, even after warnings.

i was playing in someone else's server one time and it had the typical whiny server message "No 203 whoring, no c4 throwing, no spawn camping, no bunnyhopping." So i decide how far i could push the limits, so i grabbed the ole 203 and started jumpin around the spawn, expecting a warning...waited, nothing. so ppl on the other team started complaining about me bunny-hopping and all that jive. still no warning from one of the admins on the server(who happened to be on my team). but i did however notice as soon as he[admin] got hit with a 203 by an enemy the warning was issued to that player.

I called him a hypocrit and waited till the end of the round(got the gold with like a 5-6:1 ratio[lotta nades]). i switched teams, bunnyhopped once, naded once and BOOM, banned. friggin pussy admins

This is DarkCloud of =HiL= and I'd like to say that we know all of our members and we make sure they would not do any type of childish behavior like what happened to you. If you could tell us a name though then we can find out if it might actually been one of our members, but I'm very sorry about your incident. No members of =HiL= will ever act like that, we have strict guidelines as to how all our admins act. And I say again I'm sorry for your incident. P.S. please message any more details on the person that did this.

P.S. again, autobalance is never on.

All online issues are rectified as soon as possible.

My main admin rule is to be invisible to players online.

Admins should never say things like "you got balls tking admin for a vehicle".

Never argue with players about anything that will cause a conflict of interest to the server, or pick on a person excessively; or tant about having someone kicked; or use racial slurrs.

My key members and I take our game play seriously.

I make simple common sense rules on how to admin our servers.

Intentional tks kicked, Come back and so the same thing ban for a few hours. Do it again, ban for a few days. And again, Ban for a week. Never permanent unless your caught cheating or your screen shot has a nice wall hack image.

The team member in conflict is under review.
I approved his join on the 16 and removed it today on the 20th pending a key member vote.

It seems that I might have to revise the Requirements for membership.

I have a real job making flight controls and after work I unwind with some online fun.
It’s just a game till some one put a fork in your behind and turns on the anger switch.
I go watch TV and cool off; then come back and play some more like nothing happened.

The best guys to rent a server from is Gamming freaks and Myinternetservices.com.
Both offer the excellent support and commitment to providing kick ass servers.

Yes. We invite you folks to come play on any of our servers. Talk with the HiL Community members. We're all pretty civil most of the time LOL. And as was stated, we try to do things alittle different at HiL. It doesn't work all the time but we try to give all the gamers that come to our servers a well rounded, enjoyable gaming experience. We're all gamers here, and sometimes tempers flare. It human nature in the heat of battle. But our staff tries hard to be unbias and fair in their administration of the servers. We, the Staff at HiL, ask and have it posted for the players in our forum that if anyone has an issue with a HiL Community member or problems on our servers to please post a civil but detailed complaint of the issue. At that time, the Staff will review the complaint and the proper actions will be take if the complaint is legit and the complaintent will be notified of the actions taken.

Gordon, you choose not to do this but go and post a flame, one that was not the whole truth, in another community forum. You sound like your trying to be a mature adult in your comments but your actions recorded within the server logs and your actions of coming here to post and not with us over your problems is very childish at best. All you have done in my eyes personally, is give yourself and your team you play for a bad name and rep by making false statements.

With that said, you and you boys are still welcome to play at any of the HiL servers. But remember please, info of conduct on our servers is posted for you, the players. Follow the conduct rules and there will be no problems and all will have some fun gaming. That's what we all bought the game for right? To have some fun. Got a problem, post it in our forum in the proper section and we'll deal with it.

Our goal is not to run folks from our servers but to have them come back because they enjoy the time sent with us. Hell, maybe even join the community. No team, clan, or community is perfect. But I think most have the same goals in mind. To provide a enjoyable gaming experience for all and to grow thier team, clan, or community.

With all this said, I hope this issue is put to rest and we can all spent our time doing things we like best, gaming.

On a final note. MyIS servers rock! As for Gaming-Freaks, I personally think you can find a better host then them. They have to many problems with thier boxes. I entered the first post on this thread under the assumption that some of HiLers may sift about the internet enough to find this particular thread, and figured that one of you you may or may not check logs (the one posted did not list the deaths between dialogue), perma-ban me, rebuke your TKer, any combination of these or none at all. I find it laughable to be called a flamer when the ones making the accusations call me immature, and go so far as to make thinly-veiled threats of reporting "antisocial" behavior to EA in an attempt to erase my account. All the latter does is make you look like a bunch of rats.

Other sorts of statements like 'my time was wasted in posting here, but I'd better defend my intelligence...so, um...yeah! I have a real job,' 'you should have only spoken about us within the cozy enclosure of our little club,' 'we're amiable, but you (and probably the people who associate with you) are not' and 'you're childish, but you can still play with us' seem to be rather silly. I'm sorry, HiL. You must understand: your server in question is public. People are probably going to talk about any noteworthy experiences there, outside of online realms under your direct control.

However, I'm not entirely unfair. I never condemned the attitudes of HiL as a whole. I merely provided an example of one. You actually took the time to make some sort of statement, and only three of you responded, all for which HiL deserves some acclaim. I have seen clans who would ignore every issue brought up, or have every single one of their members make a comment in attempt to drown out all others in a veritable ocean of spam. I admit to being hasty in removing HiL from my favorites, as I have had more good times than bad ones there. Thanks to DarkCloud00 for being the most civil. The team switching issue must've been on my end then, if autobalance was disabled. I couldn't hop over to the Chinese in response to the offensive TK.

But this is the last time I am going to bother defending myself on this thread, short of any truly defamatory comment about my personal integrity. Now to get back to installing XP64Pro onto this extra partition.

I'd have to admit, I'm impressed that the admins said something. It re-establishes hopes that the server is a source of good gameplay. As a player, I don't condemn a server due to one bad admin call/action. I'd try [Hil] and would keep an open mind to it, till I see an admin abusing the powers given to them....

I'm not a TK'er and I pride myself in being a teamplayer with patience for alot more than your average GI Joe. However, I will NOT put up with abusive admins. It's detrimental to the gameplay. It ruins the fun and enjoyment of what I came for.

OK I just found this post. Heres the rel story. I was the COmmander on my New Clans Server. I was ground pounding awhile as where msot of the team only 1-2 guys where on carrier for the Cobra. SO I see the F35 spawn and I Figure , "what the hell " cause the Z-10s raping and so are the J-10's. SO I grab a F35 and as soon as I start tlaking off He says why are you in the F35? Pick one ect ect.

Now The planes been sitting there most the round Only 1 was up most the time. SO I dont listen.
I strafe the Z-10 but end up hitting it when it climbs.
SO I sit on the carrier neer the F35 spawn and I get killed. And Like so many games it end with Me and Gorden Tking each other till he gets kicked off before me.
It happens all the time. Am I sorry, no hes got no right telling me what I can and Cant use.

So show off your stats all you want and say what ever you want. In the end Il still be playing on HIL server with or with out the HIL tag. And After talking with the HIL admins If you start tking me again youll be banned.
