It hasn't happened to me so I couldn't really comment. But I would assume it is dead...Insurance job is on the cards.

Put it in a bowl of rice for a few days. I haven't done it, but I know several people who swear by it.

Hahaha that happened to me too a couple months ago, I did what I could to try and fix it myself (tape it to the door of a 150 F oven to evaporate the water). I got it up and working... only if it was plugged into the computer though. Its basically finished. I threw mine out. Go buy yourself another one would be my recommendation.
Did you turn it on while it was still wet? I had the same thing happen to a cell phone. I took it apart, as much as I felt comfortable doing, and let it dry out for a week. It was fine. But my friend turned his on immediately and fried his screen.
