is it me or does it ever seem that your like the only medic on the map for your team? And then when your dead after youve been helping the team with health or revives an ass medic just walks by you and doesnt revive you?!

what is up with this I mean there should be something that tells everyone else how  many revivs youve got so they might be prompted to help you too.

Most medics I've seen today and the last few days are -dumb fucks-.  I'd run behind (and stand infront ofthem ) for several minutes calling for a medic.  People don't play medic to heal anymore, they play it for the unlock and the ability to heal themselves.

I beg to differ... i played medic all this morning, it was not for the unlock and it partly wasnt for the healing yourself bit... although that is nice... it was for the healing of my squad to lead us to a glorious victory... and to get the first ad badge:)

And those medics who are reviving/healing just revie even there's 10 enemys around. They don't care about kills/deats, they just want much of points with revives. I can't count how many times I'm been criticaly wounded and I knew that there was many enemy next to my body and just one or two seconds before death some medic of my team come and revive me and 1 second later I'm death again and that medic maybe continue reviving time after time, untill some one come and kill him. That's so fucking anoying.

If I see an enemy I'll kill him first, but if he is running off or going around a corner I'll revive the other guy first. When I am a medic (most of the time now adays) I will usually stand a bit behind my squad and toss health packs into the fights. Then pick off whoever is left and revive the squad as needed.

Depending on the situation I will revive someone with armor right there. If your an antitank or spec ops I will revive you under fire. You only get 1 death from it and there is always the chance you will blow the tank up. I wouldn't do it more than once though. I know the feeling of people reviving you over and over again.

I play medic alot and if your dead and theres more than two enemies without sight range of you i wont revive you unless i can drop them before your timer is up. I meen thats not always the case. If your a spec ops and your c4 is already planted on a tank or any anti tank i might revive you if the armor turret is facing the other way. hell i revive people without stopping most of the time (just takes practice) so sometime i will  run thru the combat zone reviving people once if they die again i wont revive them till i have killed some of the enemies.

Hell if i'm resing people in a pile of bodies and suddenly one of them dies i check around for a knifer/whatever because i refuse to help someone stat pad or do it myself.

EDIT; i forgot to say there is one time i'm one of the assfuck meds. When i'm working on a pistol badge i usually wont heal because that requires staying still to long or running in the open to the wounded. I will revive is no one is around though. (granted i wont do this again for a while since i need a nother couple hundred kills before i can get the expert.

You have to keep in mind, not all of us are willing to put our asses on the line so you can run 5 steps and get shot again. If there is NOBODY around, then maybe I'll revive you if I see that you're worthy of being revived or are essential to a function of our squad. Otherwise, you can just sit tight until you respawn and let the big boys play.

Medics like revives better than heals anyway. A heal generally takes longer and often you're not awarded a point for it, (i.e, when someone is not quite 99% dead.)

Personally i love Medics. They heal the people I shoot, so I can shoot them again. It's fun to see how many times I can snipe the same person before he manages to move out of the way.

I agree completely, i never used to play as a medic before the SF expansion came out, but the medic unlock the G36E(i think its called) i think is awesome, its much more accurate that the l851 even though it doesnt have a scope, its not that hard to pick someone off..but i don find that people only play the medic class to heal themselves..but at the same time i see people who will watch a guy get mowed down and run in to get the revive points only to get the two points and have himand the guy he revived killed again..but im not gonna complain about those idiots..thats 6 easy points for me, on a side note i also never played as the support class, but it seems that no one ever usually plays as them anymore..but i love that class now, the addition of tear gas is so completely awesome

I play medic a lot too, and I will try to heal everyone I see that needs it...someone said they will be right with a medic and calling for healing and the medic won't respond, well, I have been running up to someone, with my pack out, that was at about 10 percent, and they look at me and then run the other way!  I will toss the packs and chase them for a bit, but then I figure if they don't wanna get healed then they can go on.  I have had people call for healing, I run up and toss a bag, and they call for healing again!  Toss another bag, or 2, now there are med bags all over and this dunce is still calling for a medic!  Hello?  Look around

it's because people don't use their minimaps. whenever i call for a medic i always look at my minimap to see if any show. (after calling for a medic they will show withthe whitcircle and red cross vers the normal person marker.)

Part of the problem with medics not healing people are the idiots calling for medics. I have chucked all my bags at guys after they call for a medic, only to have them run away. (friggin idiots cost me valorous unit ribbon by 3 pts.)

i have neglected playing medic for sometime now but i will again soon as i wanna go for the valorous unit ribbon, so you can count on me on doing a whole lot of healing and reviving (but not one of those dumbass types that revive in a middle of a fierce firefight just to get you killed again, i hope to use my brains lol)

I still think there needs to be a revive badge of sorts.   I revived 45 guys the other night... Of course I like the points, but it still takes balls to run out there and revive guys under fire...

they nerfed the medic point system too much. instead of 100 pts of hp healed per point awarded it should be more like 50 or 75. if you want medics to be eager in tossing med packs, you have to give them a better incentive. the original way of getting a point every time someone picked up a pack might be too much, but that doesn't mean it had to be toned down THAT much. plus they implemented the 15 second timer anyway.

Even with medics requiring 100 HP healed per point scored, it's still by far the most lucrative kit for scoring in the game.  If anything, I think it should either be nerfed further or the support and engineer kits should get a boost to make repair/support points able to be scored at about the same rate as medic.  As it is now, playing engineer isn't a very rewarding kit cus it takes forever to accrue repair points.

As for being a medic, other than reviving, I find a lot of times people are completely oblivious to the fact that you're trying to help them.  A few thoughts:

1. In my opinion, medics should be about healing and reviving first, combat second.  The way I play, if I see someone nearby that's wounded, I will almost always run in their direction with medpack out to heal them, cus healed/revived people = tickets saved.  Also, if I'm standing near someone who's in a firefight, I'll take cover very close to them, again with medpack out, so that any hits they take begin healing right away.  If they die and it's a long-range engagement, I can revive them over and over again if need be, preventing any loss of tickets.  It might sound like point-whoring, but in my mind it keeps your people alive and that's what's important.

2. If you see a medic running up and starting to heal you and you're not being fired upon or are in imminent danger of dying, don't turn around and run in the other direction or ignore the medic.  I can't tell you how many times I've run full-speed toward someone trying to give them heal support only to have them keep running with me chasing them like an idiot, following which I get capped with my bag in my hand.

3. Medics are really, really important to have late-round in close games where every ticket counts.  If you're under 20 tickets and the game is undecided, you can never have enough medics in my opinion.  They're certainly combat-capable, and you can stretch those tickets a LONG way that way.

Another problem with the medic is the time it takes the pack to be "used". Unlike the supply packs, the medic packs don't heal instantly. You need to stand on them for a few seconds before it heals you.

When I am supply and i can see a guy needs ammo (mini map) but he is running away, I can toss the ammo pack in front of him and it will be picked up instantly. But, when I am medic and doing this, the pack isnt picked up because he keeps running. I then don't get a point.

if i,m medic i got the feeling that the teammates prefer to die than getting healed....coz when somebody is asking for a medic i run at him but he aint stop moving around the fucking map i chase his arse for about 200 meters and then he walks into a dead zone where we get shot down....god dammit i just hate that so i aint responding for heal anymore i throw down the packs...if u need heal FOLLOW THE ICONS ! coz i aint going to follow ur ass to a dead zone idiot....

except engineers aren't really about accumulating repair points.... they get plenty of combat points being tank/apc drivers. engineers definitely don't need to be boosted, they are a naturally high scoring class already. support is another story, since most people die before they run out of ammo, and don't usually care enough to go looking for ammo packs.

post-1.12 medics are point-lucrative because of revives, not healing. i don't get healed nearly as much as i used to. the single biggest reason for this is throwing medpacks don't get you as many points as it used to.
