Alright, so...let me preface this by saying...please do not post on how vista sucks and what not and how i shouldve stuck with XP. lol.  Now, after saying that...

I reformatted my hard drive and installed Vista Ultimate two nights ago i think...everything was goin well till this morning when i woke up and there was an error message on my computer, and my computer wasnt workin correctly, i dont know what it said because my computer restarted itself before i could even read it...so i get it all loaded up and what not and i go to play my 2142 and it starts to load up with that innitial picture of the Walker and what not and then it gives me a message tellin me to insert the 2142 disk and try again...the problem is, the disk was in!  I have tried restarting, restoring, updating motherboard drivers, updating my firmware for my DVD Drive, and uninstalling and reinstalling 2142.  The wierdest part is that I only experience this problem with 2142, bf2 works perfectly fine...

Has anyone else experienced this and know how to fix it...and if i really am just that lucky and the only one who has experienced this...does anyone know a fix or a possible fix, other than reformatting AGAIN!

lemme know...thanks in advance.

Compatibility mode does cause the disk check issue. But I still run into some issues involving Punkbuster and multiple map changes in Vista. I really hope DICE/EA and the PB team fix this soon.
