im not really complaining but, i think quite a lot of the medals are way too high up on points.
i was looking through the list of medals and requirements and i saw navy cross medal-

· 4500 Global Hours Played as USA

· Best round score as USA 100 times

· 500 rounds won playing as USA

ok best round and 500 rounds are ok. But 4500 hours! i consider myself a regular gamer, on average i play bf2 an hour a day. i worked out that it would take me 12 years to get the badge at the pace im going (im not bad @ the game either so no noob coments plz). this isnt just the only high medal to achieve there are a few similar to the navy cross. i like to get everything out of a game 100%, but this is a bit out of reach.

I just think EA has set some of these a bit too high, while there prob should be some medals for those who wish to spend their lifetime at the game i still think there shouldnt be so many, it actually makes me feel sorry for those who get the badge (flame me if u want).

Because the helo medal has such high requirements it will take me approximately 38 years to earn by that time i will be over 50.
Dear God please let my karma one day reach 100, whether it be tomorrow or 1000 years in the future i want it to happen.

they should bring the helo medal down to 15000 or 10000, otherwise its a lot of spawn camping and the like

Yes, they changed the Navy Cross, Golden Scimitar and People's Medalion from 4500 to 250 hours, but the SF medals take 4500, which I think is ridiculous. I mean, there are more Special Force groups to be so if anything, I suggest they would be a little shorter than 250 hours.
Still, I like the idea of the best round score being 100.
I' pretty sure they took the "500 rounds won" thing out of the requirements, or they may have changed it down a bit.

Those requirements are wrong, go to someone stats and click on the Navy Cross, they don't have to have it, just use mine.  Click on the Navy Cross and it'll tell you the real requirements.

Im sure once the new 1.13 patch comes out, the requirements for the SF medals will come down.  It will probably be the same as the Navy Cross and other service medals in terms of requirements I would think.

250 global hours
100 Best Round Scores
500 wins

Anyone agree?

I agree that it'll be lowered. I personally think it'll be half or less than that though. Since there's 6 factions to split time with, and one faction only has 2 maps. 250 hours and 500 wins on 2 maps would be rough on the sanity. I'm thinking it'll probably be 100 hours and 250 wins. Most likely keep the 100 best round score.

100 best score is not a bad requirement, by far. I've got it for MEC and China, very close a few times with US. 250 hours is still a little too much if you ask me. I've been playing for 3 months and I've only got 100 hours total. Given I only play 1-4 hours a night (because I, unlike some people who play this game, have a life), if I play at all. The people who have hundreds of hours put into this are either single, jobless 14 year olds who wasted their summer break (the game came out in June), or multiple people. I've got a job and and a girlfriend, so I'm lucky if I get to play an hour or so each night. I'm glad that they've changed things in the past, to make them more reasonable. I wish they'd tone things down just a little bit more. Going from 8,000 to 20,000 is still quite a leap. At my current rate, according to this system, it'll take me 1/3 a year to rank up. It'll take me a year just to get the combat infantry medal (and probably the marksmen too by then), and 16 to get the helicopter medal. Suxxor.

all i can say is this:

play your best,
play fair,
own every map your on (or at least try too)

and in the end you will recieve the medals you deserve.

EA know what the averages of what most players scores and efforts are and adjust the awards requirements accordingly in the patch releases (remember when 1.03 came out and we all got promoted 3-4 times that day)

Except me who was stuck on Lance Corporal until last week.
Still, those four unlocks when I did get promoted were sweet!
