Deleting those stupid .png files in BF2 Screenshot folder...

Hello all,

Has anyone noticed how in your BF2 Screenshot folder, each picture is saved twice, once as .jpeg, another as .png

This is starting to annoy me as my pc freezes when trying to open that folder with all those large files.

So, is there a way (a command say?) to delete all *.png in a certain folder? And / Or how do you disable BF2 saving both .png and .jpeg?

Just arrange the folder by file type and then delete the bottom / top half.

.png are better files, but if you want to remove all of them in a folder then open the command prompt, change to that directory and run this command

PNG > JPG

Seriously, png is the direct replacement for jpg and gif on the web. All modern browsers support them (even with transparency) so you're better off using them instead of jpegs.

Quality. Look at the edges of e.g sniper scopes against the sky. Compare .png and .jpg

You'll see the difference.

The slow way is to CTRL+Leftmouse every other image you see.

cd.. to open the parent folder in the path and cd (folder name) to open folder and dir to get list of files/folders

I take all of my screen shots with fraps because you can assign to only take .jpeg.
