Go to nzone.com and go to battlefield 2, click "can i run it?" under the picture - install the software and it'll tell you what's wrong

well first off you need to get a least 2 GB of RAM
Soccer4Life, I have a fix for this problem as it has happened to me and another one of my mates on both bf2 and 2142. Assuming your specs are up to snuff (which i assume they are since you could play for 3-4 days), you need to delete you bf2 profile. Make sure you know your account name and password for later retrieval. I believe the folder you are looking for is in my documents then Battlefield 2, go inside there and find your profiles folder. Delete everything inside here. Once you have completed this launch the game again. From here retrieve you account. This should solve the problem sure as pie.
PM me and let me know if this works or if you need more help.
