Exactly, i'd like to see what these people would do when you lose 10,000-40,000.00$ USD in money when a wolf kills your cattle. When a simple bullet from a rifle would have kept that money in your system to keep your operation running so you can in turn feed your family and all the other cattle.. its nifty cycle actually.

Not for me either and to my relief there will never be when my kids grow up - actually we will never have to fear this in Norway at all .... and we have strict gunlaws, we dont normally have armed police  and we dont have high crime rates - all this is something we share with many other countries but sadly not with our big brother USA

I`ve had 3 guns in my life !

A 22 cal when i was a member of a rifle club for some years, had to have a certificate !
A AG3, similar to the G3 when i was in the army !
A MP5 when i was in the national guard !

Now i have nothing and dont feel i need one either !

i graduated in 1992, and i remember taking my shotgun to wood shop class and putting a new stock on it.  that would never happen these days.  the problem with kids these days, in my opinion, is well poor parenting and not enough discipline.

Some of our friends here may not know so case you are wondering, that was when a gunman walked into a primary school (kids about 5years old) and shot the lot of them, there teacher and himself.  There was no real pro guns movement in the UK at that time, so there illegal.

Where America is concerned is less simple, guns are so deeply routed in the society it take generations for beliefs to change.  I am more than aware how patriotic Americans generally are about there rights, but personally, I think the right is out of date.  It was brought in for a particular time, over these past centuries things have drastically changed and in a peaceful society which I am sure everyone wants, guns dont play a part init.  The actual legal implication to brings me to the conclusion there pointless anyway, you can have it for self defense, but it also says you cant shoot people.  Planning on hitting the guy in the head with it anyone?  I also found it hard to digest some NRA guys logic in the virgina case, if the laws where made more pro-gun, security could shoot the guy down, as much as I hate to say there is a point to that argument, stepping back and looking at what they just said is enough to make you sick.  A law like this would never be passed today, its only because of the drilled in mentallity of the pro gun lobby, and the fear some people have of loosing any rights.

That is my thoughts on the whole gun thing anyway.
