Ok, this is simple. Since this would have happened anyway, let's keep it to two manageable threads.

Use this thread to talk about the Pics and Specs thread.

Meh, just use the above linked thread for everything.

As for the hardware...

Athlon X2 3800+ @ 2.4GHz (240x10, 1.40v) & Zalman CNPS7000B-Cu
MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum 1.9 BIOS (soon to be EPoX 9NPA+SLI)
Crucial PC3200 512MB x 2, 8-4-4-3 @ 2T (initial batch: Samsung chips)
ATi R9800 Pro 128MB & Zalman VF700-Cu (soon to be EVGA GeForce 7800GT CO SE)
Western Digital 180GB/2MB PATA + Maxtor 20GB
Viewsonic P225 (21in CRT) + Norwood Micro 19" 16ms DVI LCD (from CompUSA)
Logitech G5

Audio output via SPDIF coax to a Sony HT-DDW750 5.1 home-theater speaker set, with a Sony MDR-7506 headphones.  Altec Lansing AHS502i (don't buy this, audio = horrible for closed phones) used for voice-comms.

Piloting controls is done via Microsoft's own Xbox 360 controller.  Simply download the drivers and go!  Caveat however... there is no "dead center" so a feather touch in any direction will tell your aircraft to do something.  Whether that's by hardware or software design is beyond me.

Hehe... Transformers is a big part of me.  No games are running at the time of the shot.  When I took that pic, I had DScaler running on fullscreen and it was showing some game commercial at the time.  I still got about 5 other figures yet to be taken out, 2 of which are my personal collectibles which will be stored away.

Motherboard:
http://www.abit-usa.com/products/mb/pro … mp;model=6
RAM:
768Mb DDR (Runs dual channel - and yes I know its crappy running dual channel with 256Mb and 512Mb)
GFX:
http://www.dealtime.co.uk/xPF-Point_of_ … r_Warranty (Yes I know its crappy. But its totally insanely overclocked - only keept alive by a huge hunk of aluminium cooling - and it weighs a ton )
Monitor:
A crappy CTX 17" old standard monitor (max res: 1600 x 1024 - and I know its a fucked up res)
Mic:
A old headset I broke and now lays in bits and parts on my desktop

Speakers
My comp is pluged into my homemade entertainment system. My audio is made up of a stereo and 4 speakers: 2x 'small' 80Watt and 2 'big' 200Watt it packs a punch

.. And now cry when I tell you that I kind of own people with this gear

PS: Nice little workstation you got there Chuy

(Future edit: I'm at school right now but I'll upload a pic of my junk when I get home - but I can tell you that its painted silver, has a green neon light and I have been shooting at it - And YES there are bulletholes in it!)
At least the CPU is decent enough.  I ran BF2 demo on a 2100+ (overclocked to 2700+ speed).  Map loading took eons though.

I stand behind the belief that people will use with what they have in order to improve their skills.  And if you can mow people down with that setup, I say more power to you.  There's no shame in a low spec machine.  As long as it runs to your satisfaction, then that's good.

I'm scared of DFI motherboards after hearing about their LANPARTY series.  The amount of BIOS options they provide sounds like it'd be too much and too overwhelming for someone who only requires some of the basics but with enough to get things going -- the middle of the two extremes.
