Try harder at what? Being on the list isn't a matter of posting well written and thought out arguments, it's a matter of pleasing people. And I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the votes were partisan.Kmarion wrote:

Try harder= well thought out replies rather than one line talking points. I don't know what you mean by partisan, but ok.Bubbalo wrote:

Edit: That's the way I envisioned it anyways.

Come, do you honestly think that usmarine is one of the 4 people with the most thought out and rational posts on the site?
By partisan I mean that most people will vote for those they agree with, rather than those they think post well.

To tell the truth I would vote for those that post well, and have a good argument just as much as I would those I agree with. Not to mention I have actually found myself even agreeing with Bubbalo once or twice.
Just admit you are a troll and move on. You say you do not care, yet all evidence points to the contrary.Bubbalo wrote:

I don't care about being on the list because at the moment it makes no difference. Even if it were fixed, it wouldn't really change anything.usmarine2005 wrote:

And you should be greatful, under the system I'm proposing you'd be one of the people who gets to choose the next inductee.
It's weird that you don't care but are providing input...
I'm not on there. I feel sads.B.Schuss wrote:

seriously, though, we need post count per subforum. I wonder if Jeff has a way to determine those.
Cameron, ATG, Kmarion, Lowing, Bubbalo, GunslingerOIFII, usmarine2005, Ken-Jennings, Pug, sergeriver, ThomasMorgan, Cougar, kr@cker, fadedsteve, ghettoperson, Varegg, Bertster7; those are all on my "hall of fame" list. I could probably name many more that have contributed in a good way to D&ST, but those are the ones that stand out of the pack, at least for me.
I'll update the list, should additional candidates rise up, or in case I have forgotten someone.
I am glad D&ST has developped into a part of bf2s.com that many members seem to enjoy. I bow to you *bows*
edit: list updated, 3 times...
No seriously.
I don't mind being on the list or not, but should the hall-of-famers be given some kind of sub-moderator power?
The paradox is only a conflict between reality and your feeling what reality ought to be.

Nope. Not that kind of list.Spark wrote:

I think it's a stupid idea, and it won't change my opinion about individual users, but so long as it's going to be there, it might as well run in a way that I'm happy with.Pug wrote:

This is a good site, a "best of" list certainly can't hurt. Plus we get to sing Kumbaya.
Apologies for the baiting...

How were you baiting? It was a valid point.
if you absolutely have to know, you are at No.5, 475 posts behind.ATG wrote:

Wasn`t slinga supposed to be moved up a notch ?
I`m still a tad fuzzy about the criterias and who goes where and under what "ribbon", i think that should be cleared out asap and included into the OP !
The categories are okay i guess and the monthly inductee goes into honorable mention right and can later be promoted into the leader category ?
The candidates to vote for each month is chosen by those allready inducted ?
The green ribbon is awarded to lets say the thread/threads of the month and are listed by the month they where inducted ? - think quality and not quantity should decide what threads goes into hall of fame, also chosen by the allready inducted ?

I'm not going to adjust anymore until the exact details are hammered out. I'm sure you understand.Varegg wrote:
