Okay if you cant use your credit card to buy it on EA link or just cant use EA link to obtain Northern Strike do not worry you can still play it, Download the Booster pack as a torrent  http://www.mininova.org/tor/611709 run the torrent and then go out to one of your local games shops that are selling the download code as most shops are selling it now. Get a freind or a clanmate to go onto their computer and go into your account using your account name and password and register your download code via the EA Link, once this is done you will recevie a confirmation e-mail that your Download code has been registered to your account, run 2142 and you should be able to play Northern Strike, this does work as i cant use EA Link and had to go through this process to play Northern Strike.

I agree with the above poster about CDs and boxes.  Haven't you got enough coasters already?

EDIT: I saw the box in GAME on Friday.  I didn't purchase it so I don't know whether it's a code for EA link or a physical CD/DVD.  Guess it's the code.

thats not always the case, infact few people buy the hard disk just for the case or CD
as 2 examples:
EA link failed to work on my computer for a while due to internet faults i was having the hard disk is the sensible alternative to EA link

also there are people scared or paranoid about using a credit card online
and well so what? theres people scared of buttons and beards why is being scared of someone stealing your money such a hard thing to imagine?

EA just wants to save a lot of money... that's all.

If you can't get a credit card, buy a credit card that works like a gift card (you pay $100 and get a 'credit card' that becomes useless after you use $100)

I hate EA link but i still ended up buying the booster because they cant put it on a disk

Nah HMV dont either, its an error on their website as i was in store and asked but as i said before if you want it on disc just download the torrent and burn
