Here's the brief recap:

the server log wrote:
Saturday:
Goal: Replace the Gibson processors, put the HD's in raid, and run memtest on the board.
Result: Processors installed, memtest ran ok, HD raid failed hard

Sunday:
Goal: Get HD raid working
Result: Ran around for 3 hours only to find some shit ass raid card which had aweful drivers which kernel paniced the installer. Fuck. Went home (with Gibson!) and placed an order into new egg for some ... goods.

Monday: Waitzoring

Tuesday: Package Arrived
Goal: Move old component from previous system into new case, install new components, rebuild system (hardware and software)
Result: 14 hours later, server is ready. Tired. Sleep

Wednesday:
Goal: Get Gibson back to the DC and reinstalled
Results: After bumbling about for an hour or two, the machine is back in the server rack and setup. /rejoice

Any more details? Ask the people who stuck it out in the IRC.
