Just went and saw this movie and all I can say is...

HOLY-SHIT-BAD-FUCKING-ASS-KILL-KILL-KILL!!!

By far the best melee combat fight scenes I've ever seen, the best cinematography I've seen in a long time, and the best movie going experience I've had since I went to see Jurassic Park when I was like 12. Not to mention it was fairly accurate historically speaking, costume design was spot on, the terrain was spot on and it was nearly identical to the comics.

I recommend this movie to everyone. You will leave wanting to decapitate someone. The movie fucking rocked my socks off.

They were expected to bi, if they had sex with an unmarried women they would be forced to marry or her husband to be could choose a punishment, ie kill both of them, kill the woman.

Yuupppp !!!!!!! Theirs actually another thread on this movie loooll , bu yes its supose to be a great movie, experts say its going to be better than lord of the ring and the attemps are very high for this movie and its been done in montreal i think !!!! i rly have to go see it !!!

it's not too homoerotic. just half naked men slashing the shit out of each other. it's a bad ass fuckin movie, i read a book called gates of fire. it's about the same battle, but from a different perspective. also very damn awesome.

the spartans were actually mostly homosexual. their way of thinking was "if you are unwilling to die for your brother in battle, you will surely die for your lover" or something along those lines..

and yes the entire movie was filmed in montreal!! that is fucking sweet! arguably the best movie EVAR was made in canada!!
