I fear the worst. In my opinion EA has already [supposedly] announced they're hard-up for money by going with the rarely-seen in-game advertising. I'd say this quote by IGA's CEO Justin Townsend sums up what I would imagine is their point of view:

IGA CEO Justin Townsend-
"If gamers still want to have a high amount of good quality titles year in and year out, there needs to be alternate revenue streams" for next-gen gaming - IGA clearly sees in-game advertising as a notable example of this."

So how much are they going to gouge us for on this one? I fear $29.95, given EA's apparent need for money...

I know this is a little off topic, but has EA thought that maybe they upset some of their customers by adding the in game ads, and thus reduced their income. Also, what IGA's CEO says does not make sense, it shows that he is in it also for money. As we all know, BF2 has a lot of bugs, and BF2142 had a patch the day it was released. How does he think that in game ads will make the game quaility increase. It shows that with BF2142 that nothing increased.

Yeah, but the thing is DICE works for EA now. And EA likes money. Also, they have to make models and skins for the new unlocks and vehicles, not to mention the images for the new awards. Not exactly a cakewalk.

I voted for the $20 because only one award and no unlocks were ever released with the BF2 booster packs, and they were $10. However, the expansion had awards and unlocks and cost $30 new. (10+30)/2=20.
Bad logic, but at least it logic?

I'm a bit confused about it, they say booster, yet the bf2 boosters couldnt have content used in vanialla, but the expansion of SF could. The 2142 booster, does allow content to be used in the normal game, so I am unsure if there going to charge booster or expansion prices. I think around the $20, or £15 for me here in the UK (nearly $30 for me )!

I think (with my head) it will cost $10 or £6. I just ate my donkey (meatball sub from a well known shop) so that's my thinking with my head not my ass.

Knowing EA, I'd be tempted to say it'll be $19.95 in the US, and £14.99 in the UK. Sounds about right for what they did with the core game.
