Maybe the hardest edited book of all time when the heretics decided to "invent" christianity at Nicea some 1500 years ago arguing what kind of religion it should be and what authors to use and who to exclude !

Now eat me for that comment

The Pope managed to edit a few more books out of it about 600 years ago when he suddenly decided they were blasphemous. The Bible - Abridged Version

Highly elightening and informative statement of absolute fact.

Did I just say 'Highly elightening and informative statement of absolute fact.'? I meant 'Ancient book of fables and legends recorded by man'.....

Lions where close to extinction before their race was cleverly breeded on the flesh of religion, another milestone reach by the Roman Empire !

No, junkfood.

You should have included the "Stuff you write when you're on drugs" poll option or some other option.

I didn't want to be disrespectful to religious people, I think the three options are fair and balanced enough.

Although my beliefs allow for the possibility that either there is a god, as they say, or that the karmic energy of millions of people believing in something created a actual spiritual power the Bible has seen to many revisions and interpretations to be taken very seriously.

You know there's actually no real evidence that Christians were ever thrown to the lions in Rome. It's a myth, just like all the stuff in the Bible. They did often kill Christians in horrible ways, including throwing them to wild beasts (so it is possible that lions were involved at some point), but I'm pretty sure that there has never been any evidence of Christians being thrown to lions. They were usually crucified or burnt alive, often in the arena. There are also records of them being torn to pieces by wild dogs and bears (writings by Tacitus), but never any specific mention of lions in any writings from the period.

The rumours of Roman malevolence towards Christians are greatly overplayed as well. The Romans didn't mind the Christians to begin with, they just thought they were unpatriotic because they refused to make sacrifices to the gods and refused to serve in the army because they didn't want to kill anyone (see, back then being a Christian meant something), there were many other little things the Romans found strange about the Christians which led to increasing animosity between them. Under Nero this animosity became far more serious and since they were unpopular he came up with the clever trick of blaming everything bad on the Christians.

Your not suggesting Christians sin by killing in war are you?
Are no wars just?
Audy Murphy burning in hell for killing a few hundred Nazis?
I think not.

I'm saying Christians in Rome extremely rarely joined the army because they didn't want to kill people since it broke one of the 10 commandments. I'm also kind of commending them for sticking to to their principles in the face of brutal, often lethal, opposition.
Although my main point was that there is, to my knowledge, no evidence from the era that indicates Christians were thrown to lions. If anyone has any evidence to the contrary, properly sourced to Roman texts, I would be interested to see it.

I'm not a Christian - I'm not suggesting any such thing. I'm pro-war, if it makes sense that is.

You need to add another choice.

The word of God handed down and through generations and mistaken translations watered down to make very little sense to those who don't pursue it's true meaning.

That's right. Back then, Christians were liberals and pacifists.

If I can, I will try to do the apostasy (not sure about the name in english), meaning that I will book my place to Hell, I am sure that I will have a lot more fun than in "heaven".

But sadly, the church where I have been baptised has burn some years ago so I don't really know what to do.

However, I would'nt disagree if I was excommunicated (not sure about this one too) by the pope, would be funny.
